ISLAMABAD: Secretary Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit Baltistan Tariq Pasha on Monday assured full support to the University of Baltistan, Skardu during its formative phase.

He was meeting with a delegation of students and faculty members of the university, which called on him in Kashmir House in Islamabad.

The delegation was led by the university’s vice chancellor, Prof Dr Mohammad Naeem Khan.

Mr Pasha also congratulated the university for making progress in a brief period of six months.

Students also shared their issues and requested the federal government to play its role in addressing them at the earliest.

The vice chancellor thanked Mr Pasha for his patronage and the warm hospitality given to the visiting students’ delegation.

The students would visit a number of places and buildings of the federal capital during their visit.

On Jan 10, the delegation was also addressed by President Dr Arif Alvi.
