LANDI KOTAL: Governor Shah Farman along with Corps Commander Peshawar Lt Gen Shaheen Mazhar Mehmud, Inspector General Frontier Corps Maj Gen Rahat Naseem Ahmad and provincial minister for sports and culture paid a visit to Besai hilltop in Bara on Wednesday.

The delegation declared the Besai hilltop a perfect tourism spot and announced building of a road to the resort which overlooked most parts of the Hayatabad Township and parts of Jamrud and Bara.

It was also decided that a massive plantation drive would be launched in the coming season along with establishing of picnic spots at the Besai hills to attract tourists from both Peshawar, Khyber and other parts of the province.

Governor Shah Farman said on the occasion that by developing Besai hills into a tourist resort, the area would serve as a corridor to more such locations in Khyber tribal district. The delegation also met local elders and discussed with them issues confronted by the people of Bara in particular and Khyber district in general.
