RAWALPINDI: A man axed his father to death in Saddar Bairooni police area and threw his body in a nullah in Dhoke Raja after stuffing it in a sack, police said on Tuesday.

Police investigating officer said Allah Ditta had been missing since last Tuesday.

When his younger son Yasir Mehmood and his family members failed to find him, they sought police help.

He said the police investigated the elder son of the victim who disclosed that he had a brawl with his father last Tuesday over a property dispute during which he axed him to death and later stuffed his body and threw it in a nearby nullah.

The IO said besides the son of the deceased, his wife was also involved in the murder of her father-in-law.

He said the accused Nasir Mehmood had been arrested while his wife had been missing.

Separately, a teenage boy was killed after he suffered an electric shock while climbing the wall of his school in Morgah area on Tuesday.

Police said the body of Awais Ghalib, 13, an 8th class student was handed over to his parents.
