SAHIWAL, July 1: Two people were electrocuted and nine others injured in rain-related incidents here on Friday. Strong winds and the rain lashed Sahiwal, uprooting trees and affecting electricity and telephone systems. Shahdat Ali of Mauza Mirdad and Sakeena of Thatha Najabat were killed when they touched live wires.

In Mauza Chhota Noorshah, four people were injured when the roof of a house caved in. The injured were taken to a hospital where the condition of Iqbal and Sultana was reported to be serious.

A mud wall collapsed in Chak 735-L, causing injuries to some five children enjoying the rain.
