Sahiwal update

Published January 31, 2019

I WOULD like to know what has happened in the Sahiwal case investigation. Despite a passage of several days there seems to be no headway in the barbaric incident which claimed four lives.

The Punjab government in connivance with the police is trying its best to paint a misleading story to distort facts by infusing the element of confusion in the factual position.

The Punjab governor’s claim that the family was just at the wrong place at the wrong time is nothing but an attempt to give a safe cover to the perpetrators of this heinous crime.

The bereaved family and the rest of the country are not satisfied with the joint investigation report as it paints the victims as terrorists or facilitators.

To ensure a fair dispensation of justice for the victims’ families it is proposed that a high powered judicial commission may be constituted forthwith and an inquiry may be initiated afresh to unveil/discover the facts so that those responsible may be publicly exposed and face the consequences.
