ISLAMABAD: Subh-e-Nau (SN) Ladies National Tennis Tournament will be played in Islamabad from Febr­uary 12, SN president Shahida Kausar Farooq announced on Thursday.

Shahida said SN has successfully hosted many exclusive women tennis events in the country and that she was hopeful this will be another successful event.

Giving details about the tournament, she said that tournament will be played on hard courts at the PSB Tennis Courts in the capital before it concludes on February 16.

The event will feature matches in the singles, doubles, juniors U-18, U-14 and U-10 categories and will carry a prize money of Rs250,000.

Out-station players will be given daily allowances while players in the juniors’ category will also receive economy class train fares as per Pakistan Tennis Federation rules.

Shahida said interested players can send their entries to tournament referee Shahzad Akhtar Alvi at 0333-5158971 or the Subh-e-Nau office at 0321-7059269 by February 11.
