KARACHI: Six teams — three from each pool, stormed into the super round of the Veterans Hockey League on completion of league matches at the Olympian Islahuddin-Dr Mohammad Ali Shah hockey academy on Saturday.

Movers Veterans bulldozed Baldia Veterans 9-0 in the last league match that was played only for academic interest as both teams failed to advance into the next stage.

M. Arif top scored with four goals and was followed by Abdul Salam three, Faisal Ismail and Farrukh Kamal one each, for the winners.

The six outfits that made it to the next round are as follows.

Pool A: Pakistan Veterans Yellows, Tiger Veterans and Dolfin Veterans

Pool B: Sherwani Motors Veterans, Pakistan Veterans Reds and Hyderabad Veterans.

The super six round will be played from Feb. 9 and every team plays against each other with the top two qualifying for the final.
