KARACHI: Comm­issioner Karachi Iftikhar Shallwani, chairing a review meeting at his office for the arrangements for the Pakistan Super League (PSL) matches set to be held in the city next month, said that special measures are being taken to make the matches safe, successful and memorable.

“The surroundings of the National Stadium and different areas as well roads and intersections of the metropolis will be decorated while steps are being taken for the arrangement of live streaming at ten different parks in the city with the support of former Test cricketer Sadiq Muhammad,” said the commissioner.

The meeting, while discussing in detail the various aspects decided that deputy commissioners of all areas would take steps to ensure smooth staging of matches. It was also decided that the images of cricket heroes will be displayed in different parts of the city.

The meeting was attended by DC South Salahuddin Ahmed, DC East Ali Ahmed Siddiqui, PBC representative and NSK General

Manager Arshad Khan and senior officials of Pakistan Rangers, police, traffic police and other administrative orgsanisations.
