New Year challenge — self care
This is regarding the cover story “New Year challenge — self care” by Sadia Maqsood (YW, January 19).
I liked the article as it inspired me very much. Self-care is an integral cornerstone of healing your relationship with yourself. Loving yourself does not mean you are selfish or self-centred.
Your physical self-care could be ensuring you get eight hours of rest every night, taking a long walk, or preparing a healthy and wholesome meal.
Also you can take care of your emotional well-being by processing and verbalising feelings with trusted friends or family members. It also helps to avoid situations and people that give you undue emotional distress.
I would like the YW team to keep motivating us by publishing such useful articles.

Garbage in the city
I belong to Khairpur Mir’s, the beautiful city of Sindh but sadly, due to severe negligence by its people and the local government, it is losing its beauty.
Although there are many problems, the major one remains garbage; which can be seen everywhere in the city, such as parks, streets, roads, etc. Every year millions of rupees are allocated, but not a single penny is utilised in dumping the garbage on its allocated place. If the local government does not take immediate action, Khairpur Mir’s will become a heap of garbage.

Let’s celebrate everyday!
This is regarding the website review “Let’s celebrate everyday!” by Asif Ali (YW, January 19).
It was really a wonderful site to know what people are celebrating across the globe almost every day. It is fun to celebrate every day with something unique like the “Bad Poetry Day”, which I am surely going to celebrate with my friends as I think I’m really bad at poetry so it’ll be my day.
I would like to request the writer to review more interesting sites like this one.

Hope
There is never a night or a problem that can defeat sunrise or someone’s hope. We are all aware that life is a parcel of ups and downs; it is full of things that bring colours or could extract colours from it.
We always give up when we see something against our will and so we lose hope immediately. Happiness and sorrows are the two sides of same coin. All we need is to flip its side to see the vivid side of a bright future. Tough times may come but we should remain steadfast in order to win against all odds.
