DUBAI: Pakistan and Peshawar Zalmi speedster Hasan Ali, who ripped through Lahore Qalandars on Sunday with a four-wicket burst to lead his team to a fine victory, said taking South African wizard A.B. de Villiers’ wicket was like a dream coming true for him.
“The most important part of any good performance is to help your team to win and I am glad that we were able to beat Lahore Qalandars,” said Hasan. “I love to bowl fast and every wicket i take is big for me. But dismissing a player of de Villiers’ caliber was like a dream coming true for me and I am very happy with my performance.”
Peshawar Zalmi bounced back well after their defeat in the first match. “We did really well to bounce back after opening day defeat against Quetta Gladiators,” Hasan said. “Beating Lahore Qalandars has lifted out morale and we are looking forward to winning the upcoming matches.”
