RAHIM YAR KHAN: Lahore High Court Chief Justice Sardar Muhammad Shamim Khan during his visit to district courts here on Saturday said the judges should provide relief to the public.

He said the bar and judiciary should take joint steps for rule of law and justice.

He stressed that lawyers should coordinate with the judiciary to provide justice to the public at large and for solution to pending cases.

During the visit, District and Sessions Judge Jamil Ahmed Chaudhry briefed the chief justice about the working of district courts.

Later, the chief justice administered oath to District Bar Association president Hassan Mustafa, general secretary Imran Ashraf and other office-bearers at Sheikh Khalifa Public School auditorium.

On this occasion, the chief justice assured the lawyers that the vacant seats of all civil, additional district and sessions judges would be filled soon.
