The decision was made at a meeting attended by administration, police and tehsil municipal administration officials with assistant commissioner, Haripur, Dr Mujtaba Arafat Bharwana in the chair.

Mr Bharwana asked the TMA and police to launch crackdown on all the unregistered housing societies by taking legal action against the individuals involved in selling of plots in such societies.

He asked the general public to invest their money only in the housing societies that were duly registered and approved by the forest department and tehsil municipal administration. He urged the individuals and investors of registered housing societies to follow the message of clean and green Pakistan and grow plants in the legal societies. He also asked the TMA authorities to remove the wall chalking on city’s buildings by all the unregistered housing societies.

Meanwhile, the administration also warned the marriage hall owners of legal action if they failed to follow instructions regarding maintaining hygiene and serving single dish.

The warning was issued during a meeting attended by the owners of wedding halls.

AC Dr Mujtaba Bharwana listened to the problems of wedding hall owners and assured them of every support within the parameters of law and government’s policy, but warned them of stern legal action if anyone of them was found not maintaining hygiene, especially during cooking and serving of meal. He also asked them not to keep their wedding halls open after 10pm.
