LAHORE: The Chuhng police have arrested a sub-inspector of the police for allegedly kidnapping and killing a British national of Pakistani origin.

The arrest came when the police recovered dead body of 30-year-old Vine Albert from Sheikhupura district.

The police acted when deceased’s brother Jenson reported some four days ago that his brother had gone missing, fearing that he might have been kidnapped by unidentified men.

During investigation, the police inquiries found out that Albert was kidnapped by SI Ehtisham and his fiancé.

Both later strangulated him and dumped his body in Sheikhupura to conceal the crime, he said adding that the body had been shifted to the city morgue for autopsy after lodging a case against the suspects.
