TANDO JAM: Quaid-e-Awam University (QAU) Nawabshah clinched the title of All Pakistan Universities Zone H Basketball Championship organized in collaboration with Higher Education Commission at Sindh Agriculture University here the other day.

In the final, they comprehensively beat Sindh Agriculture University (SAU) Tando Jam 48-32.

The winners team’s Hasnain scored as many as 12 points to lead his team to success. He was well assisted by Hamza and Zeeshan who scored 10 and 8 points respectively. For the runners up Balaj, Javed and Tabish scored 10, 8 and 6 points respectively.

Pakistan Basketball Federation Vice President Ghulam Muhammad Khan and SAU Director Sports Anwar Hussain Khanzada gave away trophies and other individual prizes to players.

Ghulam Muhammad Khan said such events will help promote basketball at grass root level and said with such events at university level, the youth will be included to constructive activities. He said that more events and training camps will be held in interior Sindh to unearth new talent and promote the same.
