Turbat floods

Published March 15, 2019

THE rains caused floods in Turbat and led to loss of human lives and property. This flood is no less in intensity than that of 2007.

People who have become homeless need food, clean water and housing.

The army and the Frontier Corps are extending every help they can, but people still need shelter and government assistance.

The government should take immediate measures to help the people affected by these devastating floods.

ABSOR is an enormous area of Turbat city that is 30km from the main city with a big population. Recently, heavy rains demolished the bridge when the river was full of water.

The Frontier Corps is giving protection and working as traffic police for the safety of the citizens.

But this bridge needs immediate reconstruction.

The provincial government should reconstruct this bridge on an urgent basis.
