QUETTA: Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Kamal Khan Alyani said on Sunday his government was using all of its resources for bringing improvement in all sectors, including health and education, and making the government machinery effective up to the district level.

Taking to reporters at Governor House, he said Balochistan was now on the path of progress and development. All stakeholders should work together for the development of the province, he said, adding both the federal and provincial governments were working in coordination so that problems of people could be solved.

He said that the provincial health department had recently appointed doctors at district levels to provide relief to people.

The chief minister dispelled the impression that the provincial government was not releasing development funds. The government is releasing funds for all development schemes and there is no delay in their completion from the part of it, he said, adding that ground realties were different from political statements.

Quetta Gladiators

Earlier in the day, the chief minister hosted a luncheon at the Governor House in the honour of the players of Quetta Gladiators who won the recently held Pakistan Super League Twenty20 cricket tournament. The luncheon was also attended by Senior Minister Sardar Mohammad Saleh Bhootani, Commander Southern Command Lt Gen Asim Saleem Bajwa, provincial ministers, senators, MPAs, tribal elders and senior civil and military officials.
