ISLAMABAD: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa on Tuesday visited the National Defence University (NDU), Islamabad, and addressed participants of the fourth Pakistan-UK stabilisation conference.
According to the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), during interaction with the participants, Gen Bajwa focused on internal and external security situation of the country and his vision of an enduring peace within Pakistan and the region.
He also highlighted prospects of the geo-political environment, security challenges and the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) towards economic development of the region.
The COAS said Pakistan was determined to be a stable, peaceful and normalised country.
Later, Lt Gen Patrick Sanders, Commander UK Field Army, called on the army chief at the NDU.
During the meeting, regional security issues and matters of professional interest were discussed.
Earlier on arrival at the NDU, Gen Bajwa was received by the university’s president, Lt Gen Aamer Riaz.
