ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan on Wednesday presided over a meeting to discuss security matters.

The meeting was attended by Finance Minister Asad Umar, Minister for Education Shafqat Mehmood, Minister of State for Interior Shehryar Khan Afridi, Chief of the Army Staff Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa, the director general of Inter-Services Intelligence, secretaries of foreign affairs and interior, the director general of Inter-Services Public Relations and senior officials, said a statement issued by the PM Office.

Separately, the Security Adviser to UK Prime Minister, Christian Turner called on the army chief at the General Headquarters and appreciated Pakistan’s role towards regional peace and stability.

During the meeting, the two discussed matters of mutual interest, including bilateral security cooperation and overall regional situation, an ISPR press release said.
