KOHAT: Two people were killed due to firing in the air at a marriage ceremony in Ibraheezai area of Hangu district on Monday.

The Hangu city police said that indiscriminate firing was going on at the wedding ceremony despite a ban, which claimed two lives.

The victims were identified as Mohammad Taqqi and Muzammal Khan. The man, Ghulam Abbas with whose gun they were killed, had been arrested and a case of double-murder had been registered against him.

The bodies were shifted to a hospital and after autopsy were handed over to relatives for burial.
