HARIPUR: A teenage boy was allegedly subjected to assault in a remote village of Beer union council here, police said on Wednesday.

SHO Beer police station Khalid Rehman quoted Mohammad Tariq of Beer village as saying that his 15-year-old son was going to school when the accused from the same village intercepted him and took him to a nearby forest at gunpoint.

The accused assaulted the boy and threatened him of dire consequences if he disclosed his ordeal to anyone.

However, the victim shared the incident with his father who took him to the police station. The police registered the case and arrested the accused from the remote hilly village of Kandhori. According to the SHO, though final medical report of the victim had not yet been received by the police, the preliminary report and investigation had confirmed the assault.
