UAE confers highest civil honour on Indian PM Modi for giving bilateral ties 'a big boost'

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) on Thursday conferred its highest civilian honour, the Zayed Medal (Order of Zayed), upon Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan announced on Twitter that UAE President Sheikh Khalif had conferred the award on Modi.
"We have historical and comprehensive strategic ties with India, reinforced by the pivotal role of my dear friend, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who gave these relations a big boost. In appreciation of his efforts, the UAE president grants him the Zayed Medal," he said.
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi thanked the UAE leader on Twitter with "utmost humility" and said that ties between New Delhi and Abu Dhabi had grown stronger under the crown prince's "visionary leadership".
Bharatiya Janata Party President Amit Shah also tweeted about the award for the prime minister, saying it was a gesture of "recognition of PM Modi's efforts to strengthen ties between the two nations, which has helped achieve our shared strategic imperatives in the best interest of our people".
Modi had last visited the UAE in 2015, while a Crown Prince Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan paid a visit to India in 2017, during which he was invited to be the chief guest at the Republic Day parade.
Both countries had in 2015, condemned efforts ─ including those made by states ─ to use religion to justify, support and sponsor terrorism against other countries, or to use terrorism as instrument of state policy.
There are more than 2.6 million Indians in the UAE and their annual remittance is estimated to be around $14 billion.

US buy most of its oil from Saudi , UAE & Qutar but after the discovery of shale oil in US , Arab countries lost its major customer. Now India & China are major oil importing nations . India geographically located close to these Arab countries , Indian labour also added cultural ties plus after sanctions in Iran again by US opened doors for KSA & UAE to export their crude oil to India . Further modi is helping these countries to get rid from oil depending economy so that they may not get same fate like Venezuela.
India is economically & militarily getting strong day by day , so naturally every country want strong ties with strong country. Very simple logic.

@anil kumar, - This actually proves which Indian Supreme Court has already given decision that Mr. Modi was not involved in anything which happen in Gujarat (which many here are referring) and regarding issuing visa to him for few countries, those countries accepted their mistake and invited him to their highest constitutional bodies like US congress.

Arab leaders are smart to recognize that Kashmir issue has nothing to do with Muslims or Islam but is actually a political issue fueled by Pakistan who are using Kashmiris as battle fodder in their deluded quest for illegally taking over Kashmir without following due process as outlined in the UN resolutions. Last year, Indian Navy on Modi's orders helped UAE to catch Dubai ruler's daughter who was escaping by boat with help of her friends. She was being ill treated in Dubai as per her claims back then. Indian navy ships intercepted them and accosted them back to UAE. From Then, UAE is doing whatever Indian PM is asking for. Long live India UAE friendship.

Dalits because of priority in getting admission in universities and quota in jobs are now not ready to do menial jobs, RSS and BJP are preparing Muslims to do Dalit jobs in future. Each and every Muslim in India feels unsafe at the hands of RSS cow vigilantes.
