LAHORE: The LAC organised the Chitral Cultural Show at the Alhamra Art Centre, The Mall to promote inter-provincial cultural activities.

Chitrali folk singer Shujaul Haq along with his team sang many melodious folk songs of his region on the concluding night of the show.

Speaking on the occasion, LAC Executive Director Ather Ali Khan said the people of Chitral and Kalash were owners of high values and traditions.

“These people are very skillful and creative. The culture of Chitral is full of art, craft, traditional costumes, food, music, dance and folksongs and I am glad to witness all this on the platform of the Alhamra Arts Council.”

He said the LAC was committed to promoting art and culture of all regions of the country because Pakistan was a culturally rich and diverse country.

Mr Khan said the LAC platform was available to everyone to showcase their talent in fine art, music and other forms. He said Pakistan was blessed to have rich values and expressed hope the event would be highly beneficial for promoting regional culture of Chitral.

Punjab Council of Arts Executive Director Saman Rai was the guest of honour on the occasion.
