Swabi to have judicial complex

SWABI, July 12: Swabi Judicial Complex (SJC) would be built at a cost of Rs193.5 million to house all district and session courts, six civil judges’ courts, 15 courts of senior civil judges, 23 residential bungalows for judges, a barroom, a mosque, a parking stand and other facilities. This was stated by Chief Justice Tariq Pervez Khan of Peshawar High Court while addressing inaugural ceremony of SJC’s construction in Shahmansoor Township on Monday.

Mr Khan said construction of the SJC would start soon. Under the plan the complex would have all the modern facilities, he said.

“Problems of the people would be solved with cooperation and coordination between bench and bar”, he said.

The CJ pledged that funds would also be provided to the District Legal Advice Committee. He also announced Rs10,000 for purchase of books for Swabi Bar Room.
