PESHAWAR: In-form Muqaddas Ashraf, Komal Khan, Saima Shoukat, all from Wapda and Noor-ul-Huda of Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited reached the National Red Crescent Women Squash Championship semi-finals here at the PAF Hashim Khan Squash Complex on Friday.

Looking in excellent form, the Lahore-born Muqaddas comfortably defeated Hira Aqeel of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 11-5, 11-3, 11-6 in the quarter-final.

In the other last-eight matches, current

U-19 champion Komal downed Noor-ul-Ain Ejaz of SNGPL 11-8, 11-5, 12-10; former national champion Saima Shoukat overcame Nimra Aqeel of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 11-3, 11-7, 11-5; and Noor-ul-Huda stunned ZTBL’s Rushna Mehboob 11-6, 11-7, 7-11, 11-4.

In Saturday’s semi-finals, Muqaddas faces Komal while Saima clashes with Noor-ul-Huda.
