SUKKUR July 13: The caretaker of the district government, Shafique Ahmad Khoso, has imposed restrictions on movement/entrance of cattle into canals in the Sukkur taluka under section 144, Cr. P.C, for 30 days. This was stated in an official press note issued here on Tuesday. CAMPS: Six camps have been set up for treatment of cattle by the district agriculture department along the flood protective bund, said a press statement issued here on Tuesday.

According to the EDO, agriculture, 1,790 cattle have been treated so far at the camps. Similarly, 10,085 animals have been vaccinated, including 6,344 sheep and goats and 3,741 buffaloes.

ADMISSION: The Government Polytechnic Institute for Women here on Tuesday announced that admission to diploma in associate engineering in garments technology, Radio/T.V. (electronics) and secretarial technologies would be open till Aug 31.

SCHEDULE: The district officer, education (colleges), on Tuesday announced the admission schedule for intermediate classes for 2005-6 session.

Candidates can submit admission forms up to July 23 and the list of selected candidates will be displayed on July 25. Admission fees can be submitted up to July 28 and the classes will start from Aug 1.
