Lecole Ballerz seize Bahadur Ali Shaheed basketball title

KARACHI: Lecole Ballerz Club overcame tough opponents Bahria Club by 63-51 in a well contested final to win the All Karachi Bahadur Ali Shaheed Basketball Tournament organized by Karachi Basketball Association in collaboration with PSWA at the Arambagh courts on Friday.

In this high-scoring final, Arham Lateef, who was unstoppable on the court, led the team’s success with 27 points. He was well assisted by Umair Pasha 21 and Jaffar Rehmatullah 11 points.

For the runners-up, main scorers were Naveed Khan (18 points) and Umair Khan (12 points) while Mavia scored 8 points.

For his brilliant show, Arham Lateef was declared best player of the tournament while Khizer Munir was given emerging player award.

Syed Irfan Bahadur Ali, son of Shaheed SSP Bahadur, was the chief guest at the concluding ceremony and gave trophies and other prizes to winners and runners up teams as well as to individual players.

Prominent sports personalities Commodore Saqib, Mrs Asma Ali Shah, Shahida Parveen Kiyani, SOA Vice President Engineer Mehfoozul Haq, PTF Vice Presidnet Khalid Jameel Shamsi KBBA patron in chief Amjad Ali Khan and Azmatullah Khan were also given SSP Bahadur Ali Shaheed sports awards.
