KOHAT: The body of a young employee of a cable service provider was recovered from a hotel here on Friday.

The police arrested a hotel employee and the waiter who had last served food to him. The hotel’s management informed the police when they did not hear from the visitor, Waseem Zubair, for two days.

The city police seized the body and sent it to the KDA teaching hospital for autopsy where a report was still awaited. The staff of the hotel pleaded not guilty.

The police, when contacted, said the family of the deceased had so far not lodged FIR against anybody and an inquiry would be initiated into the case after the autopsy report.

The hotel clerk and the waiters told the police that when the deceased came to the hotel he was normal.

POLICE FITNESS CLUB: District police officer Wahid Mehmood inaugurated a police fitness club at the police lines for which the services of police constable Fakharuddin, who is also called Mr Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, have been hired to train the personnel.

Meanwhile, the DPO launched a police sports festival in Kohat, while additional assistant commissioner, Kohat, Tahir Ali inaugurated a sports festival in Darra Adamkhel tehsil on Friday.

The teams of Darra would play cricket, volleyball, basketball, tennis, tug-of-war.

The police sports festival is being held at the police lines.

The police festival would continue for three days while that of the Darra Adamkhel for five days.
