RECONCILIATION: An eight-year-old dispute between two rival groups was settled by Nawab Shabbir Ahmed Chandio in Qambar on Thursday.

According to the verdict, a fine of Rs400,000 was imposed on the Gaads and Rs240,000 on the Chandios.

The two groups were at daggers drawn in Akil village of the Larkana’s kucha area since 1997.

The situation in the area was tense and the rivals had encroached upon each other’s guava orchards and farm lands.

It was decided in the reconciliation meeting that the rivals would vacate from encroached orchards and the land.

It was also decided that they would withdraw all cases registered with different police stations against each other.
