HARIPUR: A seven-year-old boy was allegedly molested in Sera-i-Saleh area of Haripur district, police said on Sunday.

Inspector Munir Khan of Sera-i-Saleh police station quoted Nazakat of Mohallah Pathananwala as saying that his seven-year-old son was playing outside his home when Chanzeb of the same locality dragged him to nearby orchards and molested him.

The minor complained to his father who took him to the police station where the police after initial medical report from the district headquarters hospital registered a criminal case under section 377 of the PPC.

The initial medical report confirmed the offence while the detailed report was awaited, police said, adding the accused had been arrested.
