HYDERABAD, July 19: A large number of writers have demanded immediate release of political activists Tahir Soomro, Saleem Soomro, Ghulam Nabi Sahram, Shabbir Mallah and Faiz Jokhio. In a joint statement issued here on Tuesday, Noorul Huda Shah, Liaquat Aziz, Taj Joyo, Qadir Bux Talbani and Zafar Rajput said the activists had been dubbed as RAW agents.

They appealed to the Supreme Court and the Sindh High Court to take suo motu notice of the arrests to save lives of the arrested activists.—Bureau
