TAXILA: At least four people were killed and 12 others injured most of them children when a speeding trailer collided with two passenger vans coming from opposite direction on Tarnol-Fathejang road near Shahpur dam on Monday.

The injured and dead were heading home after celebrating Eid festival in their native towns. Police and Rescue 1122 sources said the trailer driver lost control while overtaking another vehicle and collided with the vans.

As a result, Musa Khan, Hayat Khan, Gull Mohammad and Shamsud din died while Mohammad Fayyaz, Asia Bibi, Mohammad Zakaria, Mohammad Rashid his wife Gull Jan sons Amir Ali, Yasir Ali and daughter Jewria Bibi, Safeer Ahmed, Mohammad Daud, Tamoor Khan and Haris Khan were injured.

The injured were shifted to THQ hospital from where five of them were shifted to DHQ hospital Rawalpindi for being critical condition.
