QUETTA: The Balochistan coalition government finalised the 2019-20 budget on Monday amid the brouhaha about funds for development projects.

“Next year’s budget has been prepared based on the expectations of people,” said Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Kamal Khan Alyani at a meeting, which he presided over putting finishing touches on the much anticipated budget.

During Balochistan Assembly sessions in March and April, opposition members accused the eight-month-old coalition government for failing to fulfil its promise regarding the release of development funds to them.

“The government has allotted a balanced PSDP [Public Sector Development Programme]. There will be equal development of all the districts in Balochistan,” promised the CM.
