Sonic the Hedgehog movie delayed until February 2020

Paramount’s upcoming Sonic the Hedgehog movie has been delayed until February 14, 2020, director Jeff Fowler announced on Twitter.

Sonic the Hedgehog, a live-action film based on the Sega video game franchise of the same name, was originally set to hit theatres on November 8.

The delay comes after Fowler recently announced on Twitter that Sonic’s design in the film would be changed following fan backlash. The trailer debuted a new look for Sonic which included different shaped eyes and muscular legs.

“Thank you for the support. And the criticism. The message is loud and clear... you aren’t happy with the design and you want changes. It’s going to happen. Everyone at Paramount & Sega are fully committed to making this character the BEST he can be...#sonicmovie #gottafixfast,” Fowler said at the time.

Meet the new Batman, Robert Pattinson

Robert Pattinson has officially been cast Batman following a casting process that also involved Nicholas Hoult, according to a report. Pattinson will portray the caped crusader in director Matt Reeves’ upcoming film The Batman and has closed a deal.

Warner Bros. has also approved of Pattinson’s casting after being torn between the actor and Hoult. Pattinson and Hoult were previously on a short-list to become Batman alongside Armie Hammer and Aaron Taylor-Johnson.

Pattinson, best known for his role as Edward Cullen in the Twilight series, is taking over as the DC Comics superhero from Ben Affleck.

The Batman is set to arrive in theatres on June 25, 2021 with pre-production expected to start this summer.

Terminator: Dark Fate, new trailer

Linda Hamilton’s Sarah Connor is back in action in the first teaser trailer for Terminator: Dark Fate.

The clip focuses on a new group of heroes led by star Mackenzie Davis as they battle a new cyborg portrayed by Gabriel Luna who can make liquid copies of himself.

Hamilton then arrives onto the scene to take out Luna and team up with Mackenzie in order to protect Natalia Reyes whose character is being hunted down by the evil Skynet.

The trailer also features the group recruiting series star Arnold Schwarzenegger and teases how Mackenzie’s character is both a human and a robot.

Terminator: Dark Fate, from Deadpool director Tim Miller, is set to arrive in theatres on November 1. The film takes place after the events of 1991’s Terminator 2: Judgement Day and is produced by James Cameron who originally helmed the only first two films in the sci-fi series. He has not been involved in the other Terminator films.
