KARACHI: Pakistan ‘1’ trounced Qatar ‘1’ 3-1 to sneak into the quarter-finals of the Asian Team Snooker Championship in Doha on Thursday.

According to results, Pakistan ‘1’ (Mohammad Bilal and Asjad Iqbal) won the duel 53-57, 88-77, 74-5, 76-63. They are drawn against India ‘1’ in the last eight.

Pakistan ‘2’ (Zulfiqar A Qadir and Babar Masih) directly cruised into the quarters on completion of the group matches and are slated to meet Syria.

Besides Pakistan ‘2’, Iran, Thailand and India ‘1’ also advanced into the last eight where they were joined by Pakistan ‘1’, Myanmar, Syria and Jordan.
