CHARSADDA: Two brothers were killed and two persons got injuries when their rivals opened fire on them at a jirga at Taj Plaza.

The jirga was being held to resolve property dispute among relatives.

Injured Ashfaq, son of Mushtaq of Babakhel Prang, told police that a jirga was in progress at Taj Plaz near Farooq Azam Chowk to resolve a property dispute between them and their uncle and his sons. He said that soon after the jirga ended, Abdur Rashid, Qadir and their sons Shah Saud and Haroon entered their room and opened indiscriminate fire on them. He said that Iqbal and Ilyas, sons of late Shida Mohammad, were killed on the spot while he and Arshad, son of Bashir, got injuries. They were shifted to district headquarters hospital Charsadda for treatment.

Police registered FIR and started investigation. The accused and deceased are cousins and have property dispute.
