KARACHI: Shohada-e-Pakistan basketball tournament being organised by Pakistan Sports Welfare Association in collaboration with Karachi Basketball Association (KBBA) will be held from July 8 to 20 at the Arambagh court. The opening match will be played between Usman Club and Binoria Club.

According to KBBA president Ghulam Muhammad Khan, the tournament consists of senior and junior categories and will be played on league basis. The junior categories consists of Lecole Ballers, Bahria Club, Karachi Colts, Usman Club, Arambagh, Binoria and Falcon Sports while in the senior categories the following clubs will feature: Bounce Club, Nishter Club, Neighbourhood Club, Karachi Basketball Club, One Unit Club and Askari Club.

Draws for the events have been finalised.

Ghulam Muhammad, who is the chief organiser of the event, said that the winner trophy of the event has been named after Hakim Said Shaheed, while the running trophy is named after Shaheed-e-Millat Liaquat Ali Khan Shaheed. Man of the Tournament Trophy has been named after Benazir Bhutto Shaheed.
