Special Olympics medal winners get cash prizes

LAHORE: Air Chief Marshal Mujahid Anwar Khan Chief of the Air Staff Pakistan Air Force awarded cash prizes to the medal winners from PAF at the Special Olympics, held earlier this year in Abu Dhabi, in a ceremony held at Central Air Command Headquarters on Sunday.

Those awarded include Imran Ghaffar (two gold medals in cycling), Mohammad Umar (two silver medals in badminton), Yasir Bashir (silver in cycling), Rizwan Tayyab (bronze in basketball), Furqan Iqbal (bronze in cycling) and Sabrina Touhid (bronze in futsal).

The Air Chief congratulated the medal winners on their success and lauded their hard work and determination, urging them to work harder towards improving their standing in the world.
