HYDERABAD, July 24: A large number of candidates faced inconvenience in getting nomination forms here on Sunday. A rush of candidates was witnessed in the sessions court.

The candidates were told that forms would be issued to them on Monday as there was no mention in the election schedule for issuing the forms on Sunday.

The candidates said that the forms were to be deposited between July 25 and 27 after they were issued on July 23 and 24.

An official of the election commission said that in fact forms were not to be given on Sunday because there was no such instruction.

The candidates remained confused after they were denied nomination forms.

They believed that since the date of submission of forms is July 25 the forms are to be given by July 24. The people also thronged the office of the AEC for verification of their names in the electoral list.—BoC
