New Avengers team ‘confirmed’ by Samuel L Jackson

Yes, there are more Avengers on the way, says Samuel L Jackson. Where the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) goes with its Phase Four has been the cause of much speculation.

The events of Avengers Endgame saw some huge shifts in the landscape of the MCU, with it being clear that the Avengers were never going to be the same again. However, Nick Fury actor Samuel L. Jackson has now assured fans that there will be a new line-up of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes.

Jackson revealed: “I always think that there’s room for every kind of story to be told. And, at some point, they’re going to have to put together another Avengers group of some sorts to deal with whatever’s coming next.”

Of what threat awaits the new Avengers, Jackson added: “Nick knows something is coming, the same way he found out in Captain Marvel that there are other things out there that need to be dealt with that I didn’t know about.”

28 Days Later director plans third film

Fans of zombie movies will find this news exciting as 28 Days Later director Danny Boyle is sharing plans for a third film. The Brit said in an interview that he’s working with Alex Garland, who wrote 28 Days Later, on a new sequel to the zombie movie.

28 Days Later starred Cillian Murphy, Naomie Harris, Megan Burns and Brendan Gleeson, and opened in theatres in 2002. The film inspired a 2007 sequel, 28 Weeks Later, which was directed by Juan Carlos Fresnadillo.

“Alex Garland and I have a wonderful idea for the third part,” Boyle said. “It’s properly good. The original film led to a bit of resurgence in the zombie drama and it doesn’t reference any of that. It doesn’t feel stale at all,” he added of the sequel.
