KHAIRPUR: Two young brothers were rescued after they along with their friend went missing while bathing in Mirwah Canal near Simang Channa village of Khairpur district on Tuesday, officials at the B-Section police said.

They said that the children raised a hue and cry while bathing in the canal. People present around jumped into the water and rescued Aziz, 7, and his brother, Farhan, 6, sons of Ahmed Bux. However, their friend, Mohammad Arif, 8, son of Mohammaduddin remained unaccounted for.

Families of both the victims are residents of Atta Mohammad Channa village, the police said.
