QUETTA: Three bodies were found in Mian Ghundi, an area on the outskirts of Quetta, on Sunday.

After receiving information about the bodies, police rushed to the area and shifted the bodies to the Quetta Civil Hospital for identification.

One of the victims was later identified as Imtiaz Ahmed, a resident of Sariab, while bodies of two other victims could not be identified immediately.

The police said they were in search of the body of Imtiaz Ahmed who was allegedly killed by Manzoor Mengal.

According to the police, Mengal was arrested a month ago and during investigation he had told the police that he had thrown the body of Ahmed in an underground water channel (Karez).

“We found three bodies in the water channel though we were searching for one,” a police officer told Dawn.

He said Mengal and Ahmed were friends, but Mengal snatched motorcycle, mobile phone and cash from Ahmed and then killed him.
