England, the new cricket champion

After a fluctuating performance throughout the tournament, finally England defeated the Kiwis to claim the ICC Cricket World Cup trophy.

The English skipper, Eoin Morgan needs appreciation for his praiseworthy contribution. Actually, all the players of the English team showed extraordinary performance in the final of ICC Cricket World Cup. However, the slow and weak opening of the English inning put the team in a tough position, but the 100 runs partnership of Jos Butter and Ben Stokes gave a chance to the team to claim the title.

Ben Stokes should be appreciated for his outstanding batting as he scored 84 runs which took the team into the super over. And in the super over the three English players, Ben Stokes, Jos Butter and Jofra Archer, with the bat and ball, helped the English team to take the game from New Zealand.

Congratulations to the English team for becoming the sixth team to achieve this honour.

Baloch cricketers

The talent of the people makes a country successful and gives it a good name in the world.

Balochistan is known as the richest province of Pakistan due to its natural resources. The province also has a lot of human potential. As Pakistanis, Baloch cricketers are hoping for a chance to play in the national team, but they are repeatedly being ignored by the government and the PCB.

Many players in Balochistan play very well and would make good contribution in the national side,

If the government wants that the next World Cup should be won by Pakistan, then a chance to Baloch cricketers needs to be given.

Pakistan cricket

Pakistani cricket players are suffering from many kinds of problems. They are facing a lot of criticism and abuse from the public and media. Some people go as far as to use very bad words for our players. This belittles the country too.

Thus, I request everyone to stop being so harsh and abusive towards the Pakistan cricket team.

Empathy

This is regarding the story “The need for empathy” by Faruk Ahmad (Young World, July 6). Empathy means to understand and connect to a person without being judgemental.

Empathy is the key to healthy relationships. You never really understand another person until you consider things from his point of view.
