During a meeting with German Consul General in Karachi Eugen Wollfatth, who called on him here on Saturday, Mr Alyani said his government was focusing on economic activities which benefited the people of the province and created jobs and generated revenue.

“The aim of proposed investment conference is to apprise the investors about the facilities and incentives to be provided by the government,” he said.

Mr Alyani said that tourism was another untapped sector which had great scope for investment in Balochistan as the province had beautiful beaches and several attractive places.

He said the construction of Gwadar shipyard was in its initial stages.

The consul general showed interest in the public-private partnership between investors from Germany and the government of Balochistan for joint ventures in different sectors.

“I have visited Gwadar and Ziarat and believe that Balochistan is the most suitable place for investment, which will grow in future with the CPEC (China-Pakistan Economic Corridor),” Mr Wollfatth said.
