In pictures: Monsoon rain brings relief from heat in Sindh but disrupts lives of citizens
The trend is likely to continue for the next 24 hours, according to the Pakistan Metrological Department.
The first proper spell of much-anticipated monsoon rains hit parts of Sindh including Karachi on Monday.
While bringing much-needed relief from the heat, the rain wreaked havoc in the metropolis. At least 16 people were killed — mostly from electrocution — and three others were injured in Karachi and other parts of Sindh. Power supply was suspended with the first drop of rain in the morning and many areas of the city remained without electricity for over 15 hours.
A heavy downpour caused flooding in various parts of Hyderabad including Latifabad and Qasimabad. Rainwater accumulated in all low-lying areas and on main arteries of the city.
The Pakistan Metrological Department warned that the trend was likely to continue for the next 24 hours.

I am living in surjani town the power break down remained from 7 am on 29-07-2019 to 3 am on 30-07-2019 and again since there is power break down since 7 in the morning today.
No response from K electric. And this happened to us frequently even thuogh we are star customer of K electric.

Not a good sign indeed. People struck in roads due to drainage systems. Needs to be improved for most populated cities.

MQM ruled the city since 1988 with all powers under its control using all types of force but still couldn’t do anything lasting.However enjoy the rain ☔️ it’s very scarce phenomenon in Karachi too.

PPP and it’s political leaders have only been interested in making money. They don’t about anything or anyone. Yet the people sell their votes for a paltry sum. Maybe it will open our eyes. Hopefully it will change in next election. The Sindu card will not work.
