ISLAMABAD: Pakistan on Thursday lodged a strong protest with India on continued incidents of unprovoked firing along the Line of Control (LoC).

India’s Deputy High Commissioner Gaurav Ahluwalia was summoned for the third consecutive day at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Director General South Asia and Saarc Dr Mohammad Faisal lodged the protest with him over the killings of innocent people, including women and children, as a result of firing.

The Indian occupation forces along the LoC and Working Boundary have continuously been targeting civilian populated areas with artillery fire, heavy-calibre mortars and automatic weapons.
