MUZAFFARGARH: Kot Addu police on Sunday arrested a man allegedly for posting hate material against state institutions and agencies on social media.

According to the police, Ali Akbar Pirhar, a resident of Kot Addu, was arrested for his social media posts against state institutions and sensitive agencies, while some of his posts also supported the Pashtun Tahaffaz Movement (PTM).

The police said they also seized the mobile phone of the suspect which he used for uploading the posts.

They said Pirhar was arrested after registration of a case against him under 25-D Telegraph Act 1885, and 16 MPO.
