GWADAR: Chief Min­ister of Balochistan Jam Kamal Khan Alyani has said that Gwadar is the centre of focus of entire world as investors want to come here, adding that the government is committed to provide them a peaceful and investment-friendly atmosphere.

“Safeguarding the right of local people of Gwadar at any cost is the policy and top priority of the government,” he said while speaking at a meeting with district and divisional officials of different government departments here on Saturday.

Provincial Minister Mir Zahoor Buledi, the commissioner of Makran Division and the DIG of Makran Range were present. District officials of different government departments briefed the meeting about the performance of their departments, law and order situation and development projects.

The chief minister said that the government departments should ensure resolution of issues faced by the people and achieve the target of timely completion of development projects.

“Absenteeism on the part of doctors and teachers is unacceptable and departmental action will be taken against those who do not comply with the rules,” he warned.

The chief minster issued directives for stern action against drug dealers in all districts of Makran division, including Gwadar, to curb drug abuse. “Elements involved in narcotics business will never be pardoned because they are tumour for the society and want to destroy our young generation,” he said.
