MURREE: The resort town witnessed gridlocks after four vehicles got stuck in mud on a dug-up road.

For laying supply lines of gas to New Murree and its adjoining areas, several roads had been dug up. However, they were not properly repaired after laying the pipelines.

The sides of the roads remain filled with mud which turned into a marshland after the recent rain.

From Murree Expressway to New Murree, the single track was already too narrow for heavy traffic. But digging on both sides of the road made it narrower.

Four vehicles remained stuck in the mud causing a severe traffic jam when a large umber of tourists were in the area on the weekend.
