TIMERGARA: Jamaat-i-Islami chief Senator Sirajul Haq has said that his party would not let the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf government to take a U-turn on Kashmir issue. He asked the government to announce holy war against the barbarity of Indian forces in held Kashmir.

He was addressing a gathering of local government representatives at Zwal Baba here the other day. The JI chief also addressed the last sessions of Samar Bagh and Maidan tehsil councils as chief guest the same day.

The Zwal Baba function was also addressed by tehsil nazim Imranuddin, councillor Ubaidullah and Balambat JI youth president Mirajul Haq. The chief guest distributed shields among the councillors for their good performance during the last four years.

“The government has limited its Kashmir policy to mere slogans and speeches,” Senator Haq claimed, adding that the PTI leadership had been doing nothing to free the innocent Kashmiris from the clutches of India.

He said that his party would give enough time to the government to deliver, but would not let it take a U-turn on Kashmir policy. He asked the government and Pakistani forces to abolish the 450-kilometre long fencing along the Line of Control.

The JI chief said that Pakistan had been facing isolation in the comity of nations due to its failed foreign policy. He also addressed different functions at Samar Bagh and Lal Qila Maidan where he asked the participants to support his party for making Pakistan a real Islamic and welfare state.

Appreciating the role of local government representatives in Lower Dir, Senator Haq said that his party was in majority in six of seven tehsils in the district.

BOOK SHOP: Pakistan Red Crescent Society opened its book shop at Balambat during a function on Wednesday. Deputy commissioner Shaukat Ali Yousafzai formally inaugurated the book shop as chief guest.

Anjuman-i-Tajaran Timergara president Anwaruddin and local officials were also present on the occasion. The deputy commissioner said that the administration would provide state land to PRCS for establishment of its office in Lower Dir.
