KARACHI: Three additional judges of the SHC took oath on Thursday.

The SHC Chief Justice Ahmed Ali M. Shaikh administered the oath to Justices Rashida Asad, Abdul Mobeen Lakho and Zulfiqar Ali Sangi at a ceremony held in the SHC building and attended by the judges, federal and provincial law officers and senior lawyers.

The Judicial Commission, headed by chief justice of Pakistan, in a recently held meeting recommended the appointment of additional judges. After the new appointments, the total strength of SHC judges rose to 39 against the sanctioned strength of 40.
